Sometimes, even a travel advisor needs to stop planning and simply be a tourist.

Recently, my husband surprised me with a weekend in San Antonio—a city I had never visited. We explored the River Walk, took a river boat tour, discovered some Cuban food, and ended up at an incredible Elvis tribute show at the Majestic Theatre.

It was exactly what I needed.

But when I returned home, my thoughts went back to Cuba.

After my visit to my hometown in August, I shared with you the heartbreak I felt seeing the suffering there. Since then, something beautiful has happened.

You have continued to help.

Friends, clients, and others have donated money and supplies. I’ve shipped a 52-pound box filled with medicine, food, rechargeable lights, battery-operated fans, and other necessities to my sister in Cuba.

And now I’m preparing for my next journey: October 1–7.

I’m inviting you to come with me.

You don’t have to spend money you don’t have. You can ask your church, food bank, dentist, local businesses, or community organizations to help you collect supplies.

One suitcase can make a difference.

But perhaps Cuba isn’t calling your name right now.

Maybe you’re thinking about your holiday travel. Maybe you’re dreaming of the Galápagos, an Arctic adventure, a cruise, a group journey, or somewhere completely different.
